Client Requirements:
Our client required Swing Bridge to be monitored over a twelve month period to establish whether there was any movement.
Our Role:
Interlock Surveys established ten fixed monitoring points on the bridge structure together with stable control points off site. These were monitored for both position and level on a monthly basis utilizing precise leveling and high accuracy Total Stations.
Client Benefits:
Our client benefited from clear concise reports which were generated showing any lateral and vertical movement of the control points both individually and in relation to each other.
The survey information was provided in spreadsheets and graph format. From the results of our survey our client was able to determine whether there was any bridge movement and if there was whether it was seasonal or due to bank settlement.
